Nichole and Michael’s early September elopement at Iris Aisle was intimate and simple. It was a bright, sunny day, and the flora around the venue and the tropical plants in the Conservatory looked vibrant and full of life.

Before the ceremony, Nikki got ready with her best friends in the greenhouse's gorgeous tiled washroom, one of our favorite spaces around the venue. You can also choose to add the Botanist cabin onto your reservation if you’d like a little more space to prepare and store your belongings during your reservation. Better yet, book it for an overnight stay and spend the night at our venue as newlyweds!

As the ceremony began, Mike waited at the altar while a close friend played the violin for the processional. Nichole walked down the aisle in her modern white gown, and their loved ones in attendance sang along to the violin music with sheet music the couple had placed on each chair. When she arrived at the altar, Nichole surprised Michael by serenading him with a song of her own, and even played acoustic guitar while he held the sheet music for her. Last season brought us a LOT of couples playing their own acoustic songs during their ceremonies. Live music inside the Conservatory just brings a whole different and lovely experience to anyone’s day, and we hope we get to see a lot more musicians at future weddings!

After vows and I do’s, the happy couple celebrated with numerous hugs and group photos with their closest loved ones. Guests enjoyed beautifully decorated sugar cookies while Nikki and Mike explored the property with our in-house photographer, Raelyn Ramey. They also took our traditional Polaroid photo, one to go home with the newlyweds as a keepsake, and the other to be placed on our fridge in the Botanist cabin with our collection.
